All Saints Episcopal Preschool is Hiring a Summer Preschool Teacher Near Birmingham, AL

QUALIFICATIONS:

This is a part time teaching position for summer only. It is a great opportunity for first year college students majoring in education and/ or early childhood development. Our summer program schedule is June 3rd-21st and July 8th-26th. Hours are 8:45 am- 1:15 pm.

As a teacher of young children, the person selected for this position must be professionally prepared, preferably in the field of early childhood education or development. This person must be a sensitive and mature individual who is able to relate well to both children and adults. Must be 19 years old to apply. HS diploma or equivalent required. Experience in childcare setting preferred.

RESPONSIBILITES:

The person selected for this position will be responsible for the general supervision and management of children in a classroom setting. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Plan, supervise and implement the curriculum for the class in accordance with the policies and guidelines of the school
  • Plan activities for the children that are engaging. creative, and age appropriate
  • Provide a loving Christian environment that promotes the emotional, physical, and social development of children
  • Interact with each child and their family in a kind, loving, and positive manner
  • Maintain sanitary conditions for self and children, in accordance with preschool policies
  • Arrive on time and have classroom prepared for the day
  • Notify the Preschool Director and schedule substitutes when you are sick or taking time off.
  • Maintain parent/ child confidentiality
  • Correct and re-direct children in a kind but firm manner.

TRAINING:

  • CPR certification is preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 – 25 per week
